The Young People's Borough of Culture are delighted to reveal their promotional film for the first round of applications for their Our Place funding project.

Through Our Place, young people can submit a creative idea for funding to make it a reality! You will present your idea at a Voting Event, where other young people will then vote on which projects will secure that funding. Then, you will then be supported to deliver the creative idea. You could start with an interest you’d like to share, something you’d like to change with the help of your school, or a way of bringing people together.

Our Place grants are funded from the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Kings Coronation Youth Fund.

First Round Theme: Belonging

What places are important to young people in the London borough of Hammersmith & Fulham? What creative activities would they like to see happening in the public spaces where they live, learn and spend time? How could their local area change to help young people feel a stronger sense of belonging? This is what we are asking young people for this first round of Our Place funding.

This film, produced with the assistance of Chewboy Productions, gives young people a voice as they talk about what Belonging means to them. We are pleased to feature members of the Young People's Borough of Culture youth board as well as other young people from the local area as they lend their voices to our campaign.

If you would like to learn more, applications for this round of Our Place are open until 21st September, with a second round of funding opening with dates to be announced. If you are aged 13-25 and live or learn in Hammersmith & Fulham you can also attend our Voting Event on 3rd October completely free to decide which events get funded.
