How to be a Theatre Producer with Radha Mamidipudi

Theatre Producers work with artists to create performances, manage live art projects, run cultural organisations and much more! As well as being creative people they are fundraisers and negotiators who manage complex projects from the beginning of a process right until the very end.

This event is part of Youth Arts Festival, a week-long series of free events running for 13-25 year olds across Hammersmith and Fulham. You must be aged 13-25 and live or learn in Hammersmith & Fulham to attend.

As well as being creative people they are fundraisers and negotiators who manage complex projects from the beginning of a process right until the very end. In this workshop, you'll learn key producing skills that you can use to make your own successful creative projects, and understand what options are available to you if you want to pursue producing professionally. 

Radha is a theatre producer with a commitment to compassionate, ethical and political theatre-making that centres entertainment. Radha holds a BA Theatre Arts, Education and Deaf Studies from the University of Reading, an MA Performance and Culture: Interdisciplinary Perspectives from Goldsmiths, University of London and an MFA in Creative Producing from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She has previously worked within the producing team at Headlong, delivering touring theatre projects in partnershup with companies such as the Barbican the Old Vic, Shakespeare's Globe, Leesd Playhouse and the Liverpool Everyman. Radha was a member of StageOne's Bridge the Gap Programme in 2022-2023. She is currently Producer at Theatre Royal Stratford East.
