Learn how to actually make money when you work for yourself. We'll break down the difference between being employed, self-employed, and running a business, then walk through the money side, tax, contracts, and systems. Leave with an understanding of what you're getting into.

This event is part of Youth Arts Festival, a week-long series of free events running for 13-25 year olds across Hammersmith and Fulham. You must be aged 13-25 and live or learn in Hammersmith & Fulham to attend.

Solomon Adams is an artist, musician, and poet working at the intersection of arts and wellbeing. His work has been funded by Warner Music Group and he has worked with the Southbank Centre, the Roundhouse and the British Library. He's performed across the UK and internationally. He believes creative practice and real business knowledge are inseparable, that people deserve both if they want to actually earn from what they create. He was the first Employability Coordinator at WEST Youth Zone, where he designed and delivered programmes supporting young people facing barriers into real work and enterprise. Through Solomon Adams Consulting, he continues this work merging creative practice with business skills that enable sustainable work.
