Ballet Black Open Day

Step into a day-in-the-life of a professional ballet dancer by visiting our very own Ballet Black studio and office. Following our 4-day run of our 25th Anniversary double bill at Sadler's Wells from 14th-17th October, come and witness what goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen, from watching our dancers rehearse to exploring our creative space, including an interactive Q&A with Cassa Pancho, Founder, CEO, and Artistic Director, and our dancers.

This event is part of Youth Arts Festival, a week-long series of free events running for 13-25 year olds across Hammersmith and Fulham. You must be aged 13-25 and live or learn in Hammersmith & Fulham to attend.

For twenty five years, Cassa Pancho’s Ballet Black has brought bold new ballet to stages across the UK, creating and sharing original stories with dancers from around the world. Founded in 2001, Ballet Black is an award-winning, neo-classical ballet company dedicated to diversifying the ballet industry. The Company is made up of international dancers of African, Caribbean and Asian descent, with an entirely original repertoire spanning classical to highly contemporary work. Ballet Black has worked with leading choreographers including Shobana Jeyasingh, Will Tuckett, Gregory Maqoma and Mthuthuzeli November, receiving numerous accolades including Olivier, Critics’ Circle and Black British Theatre Awards.
